Meet author Serge Cipko as he discusses his new book, Starving Ukraine: The Holodomor and Canada's Response.

Dr. Serge Cipko is Assistant Director, Research, at the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies (University of Alberta).

In the early 1930s, how much did Canadians know about the deliberate starvation imposed on Ukrainian farmers during the Soviet era? Dr. Cipko’s book explores the different viewpoints as they appeared on Canadian press at the time of the genocide. 

The event will wrap up with a book signing and a meet‐and‐greet with the author.
The book will be available for purchase in the Museum Boutique.
