Writing in Braille

Humans are excellent problem solvers, even going so far as to create new forms of writing to overcome challenges. If a person is blind, they can use Braille to communicate. Come and learn about the history of Braille and write a message of your choice using this dynamic language.

12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Canadian Journeys gallery on Level 2.

What’s in a nation?

Over the past 150 years, Canada has been a safe haven for many people. Millions have come to Canada to start new lives. This activity celebrates what it means to be Canadian and offers participants a chance to share a favorite moment, action, or symbol about Canada with new Canadians.

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Canadian Journeys gallery on Level 2.

Please note that scheduled programs are subject to change or cancellation.
