Family Day

Leif Norman / MCDP

Family fun every Sunday!

Spend an afternoon with your family exploring the Museum. Every Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. our discovery activity is available. You can also participate in special programs designed for families and children of all ages that are free with admission!

Discovery Activity

Explore the Canadian Museum for Human Rights!  Our family-friendly discovery activity takes you through the Museum’s galleries on a journey of discovery and fun!

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ask for your booklet at the main coat check on Level 1.

Growing A Better Future

How does food connect to human rights? Not all Canadians have equal access to food. Come and discover the right to food by exploring what an average lunch looks like for different people in Canada.

12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Rights Today gallery on Level 5.

Peace Blossoms

What does peace mean to you? Bring your family and explore the connection between origami and peace through the story of Sadako Sasaki, a 12 year old girl whose life was forever changed by the bombing of Hiroshima in 1945. Look at our beautiful peace lilies and learn how to make your own out of origami paper.

2p.m. to 4p.m. in the Stuart Clark Garden of Contemplation on Level 3.

Please note that scheduled programs are subject to change or cancellation.
