Take your class on a human rights journey through Canada and the world. Learn about Canada’s role in major world events, the milestones Canada has achieved, and the aspirations of Canadians to achieve more.
Students learn about Canada’s human rights journeys and how Canadians continue to be involved in the fight for universal human rights at home and around the world today.
Students experience most of the Museum’s galleries focusing on a few gallery elements to draw out the main themes.
Students participate in a tour on a wide variety of compelling human rights stories where they see interesting artifacts and discover Canada’s role in the creation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Students discuss that there is no singular definition of human rights and there are multiple perspectives on human rights issues in the world.
Students celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary as they focus on the Canada 150 theme of diversity and inclusion.
