News release details

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) has been nominated for USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice travel awards as a contender for the top attraction in Canada.

Online voters will choose the winners over the next four weeks – so the Museum is encouraging people to vote every day between now and June 23, 2017. In addition to the Website (http://www.10best.com/awards/travel/best-attraction-canada/) the contest can be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

A panel of six prominent Canadian travel writers and social media influencers chose 20 Canadian attractions for the shortlist. USA Today 10Best is a travel and lifestyle advice site associated with one of the largest newspapers in the United States, and ranks among the top 10 most‐visited travel information sites in North America, as measured by comScore.

Other national attractions in the running for the award include Niagara Falls, Stanley Park and Peggy's Cove.

Winnipeg has also been nominated in the category of top Canadian destination and Riding Mountain is a contender for best national park in Canada. Lake Winnipeg, Whiteshell Provincial Park and Lake of the Woods were shortlisted for best cottage region in Canada.
