On September 30, 2025, we invite you back to share your reconcili‐ACTION stories.

“Truth and reconciliation is not just a day; it is a way of life,” says Knowledge Keeper Marilyn Dykstra. “But the most common statement I hear is, ‘what can I do?’ With full humility I can say, I don’t know. We all have our own gifts and abilities and if we each focus on a personal plan, we can bring our country farther ahead. If we choose not to plan, we are planning to fail.”

People are invited to embellish a 4 × 4 inch felt square to show what they will do over the next year to advance reconciliation. Once willing participants have finished their piece, CMHR staff will take a photo of the participant with an explanation of their plan. Some photos will be posted on the CMHR website under the banner “Truth and Reconciliation Day: Comfort and Reconcili‐ACTION.”

Include your family and friends so you can encourage each other on your journeys. You do not need expert crafting skills; we have needles and thread as well as glue.

If you have a personal embellishment that you want to add onto your piece of felt, feel free to bring it and create ownership of your piece as part of your mosaic tile of reconcili‐ACTION.

Please join us between 11:00 a.m. — 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. — 4:00 p.m. (while supplies last).
