Evelyn Amony and Grace Acan were abducted by the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda when they were just girls. They spent years in captivity, enslaved, away from their families.

Having found their way back to freedom, Amony and Acan work to help other women and girls affected by war, and educate people through their experiences.
The museum’s newest exhibit, Ododo Wa: Stories of Girls in War, will launch with a panel discussion featuring Amony, Acan, exhibit curator Isabelle Masson, and Professor Annie Bunting, project director at Conjugal Slavery in War, a partner for the exhibit.
The discussion will be followed by an audience Q & A and light refreshments.
