This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. To celebrate, the Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is delighted to host the Future of Human Rights in Canada gala, featuring special guest the Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, PC CC CStJ, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada.

Ms. McLachlin was the first woman to serve as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition to being a trailblazing jurist, she is also a best‐selling author and the recipient of many honorary degrees. Ms. McLachlin will offer her unique perspective on emerging human rights issues, changing human rights discourse and expanding human rights in Canada.
