In recognition of International Human Rights Day, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) will open its doors to the public free of charge on December 10.

Visitors are invited to explore thousands of compelling human rights stories and powerful exhibits that inspire hope.

The day’s celebrations include a meaningful citizenship ceremony at 2 p.m., where new Canadians will take their oath in a space dedicated to dignity, inclusion, and the fundamental rights upheld by the nation.

International Human Rights Day serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing efforts to advance justice and equality worldwide. The CMHR provides a space to learn, reflect, and be inspired – highlighting human rights stories of perseverance and hope, alongside engaging exhibits that emphasize the importance of justice and human rights for all.
