Museum celebrates spring break with family-friendly activities

Free admission all week for children 12 and under

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) invites families to come and explore over spring break and enjoy free admission for kids 12 and under from March 29 to April 6.

Normal gallery admission rates apply for adults except for Sunday, March 30 and Sunday, April 6 when all visitors get in for free. The Museum is closed on Mondays.

Make a statement!

When: Daily April 1–5, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Where: Stuart Clark Garden of Contemplation, Level 3

Kids of all ages can express themselves by making a button about a human rights cause that matters to them.

They can also learn how writers and artists use comic books and graphic novels to share human rights stories—and create their own comic strip about human rights.

While you’re in the Garden, be sure to visit the Book Nook featuring children’s books related to human rights.

Get creative

When: April 1 and 2, 1 p.m. –3 p.m.

Where: Bonnie & John Buhler Hall, Level 1

Join Elliot Walsh & Trinnipeg for an afternoon of word games, visual art, inspiring poems, collages, accessibility talk and rap story telling.

Join Meraki Theatre

When: April 3 and 4, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Where: Bonnie & John Buhler Hall, Level 1

Join Meraki Theatre for activities, crafts and theatre games offered in English and French.
