Starting today, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights will host a jam‐packed slate of performances and activities for children, as well as free admission for those 12 and under, to celebrate spring break.

Crafting, singing, dancing, drumming, hulahooping, musical performances, and a kidfriendly gallery discovery guide are all on offer to make it the most family‐friendly event of the year. The diverse line‐up of performers and artists will offer activities and workshops in both English and French. The full schedule can be found here.

Admission to the performances and activities on the ground floor is free for everyone. No registration is required. Gallery admission for kids 12 and under is free until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2. Regular gallery admission rates for adults apply.

"This week, we celebrate the arrival of spring and create a joyful atmosphere as an entry point for children to learn about inclusion, respect and kindness," said Chandra Erlendson, CMHR Director of Indigenous Relations and Community Engagement. "It’s a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to have fun and explore."

In addition, there will be a special macaroni bar for kids with all the fixings, as well as a selection of sweet crêpes, available for purchase. The Museum’s Boutique offers a great selection of toys, puzzles, clothing, books and treats suitable for kids of all ages. Cloud Coffee, the Museum’s in‐house café on Level 5, is also open and a great place for parents to pause and enjoy.
