News release details

Join us Friday, June 28 for a magical night of French‐language performances by headliner Ariane Moffatt presented in partnership with Festival du Voyageur. Moffatt is an award‐winning and multitalented artist who has made her mark on the Quebec music scene since the release of her first album in 2002.

Moffatt is featured in Beyond the Beat: Music of Resistance and Change for her activism in support of 2SLGBTQI+ rights. Her solo performance will be preceded by opener Sala, who was named Francophone artist of the year at the Western Canadian Music Awards in 2023.

“When one is the minority, creating and performing music en français is an act of resistance,” offered Eric Plamondon, President of Festival du Voyageur. “It's also an artistic bridge to understand and value the other. Ariane Moffatt and Sala are testaments to the beauty and the capacity of change, amplified through their musical voice.”
