Video: The Uyghur Genocide in China: A panel discussion
The program will be held online via Zoom. It includes a panel discussion between Mehmet Tohti and Dr. Adrian Zenz, moderated by Gary and Andrea Dyck, as well as an audience Q&A session.
About Mehmet Tohti
Mehmet Tohti is a prominent Uyghur Canadian activist who has campaigned for the rights of Uyghurs over a decade. He is a co‐founder of the World Uyghur Congress and executive director of the Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project, based in Ottawa.
About Dr. Adrian Zenz
Dr. Adrian Zenz is a Senior Research Fellow in China Studies at the Center of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, an education, research and human rights nonprofit based in Washington, DC. He was one of the first researchers to reveal proof of the situation and conditions in the Xinjiang camps.
About Gary and Andrea Dyck
Gary and Andrea Dyck lived in Xinjiang, China for 10 years. Gary is Executive Director at the Mennonite Heritage Village and was CEO of a social enterprise in Xinjiang. Andrea is completing an MA in Counselling Psychology. During their last two years in China, they witnessed the first stages of the genocide perpetrated against the Uyghurs. Moved by this tragedy and the need for international collaboration and action, Gary and Andrea have become passionate about bringing attention to this ongoing genocide.
