Nafiya Naso, a human rights advocate and member of the Winnipeg Yazidi community, will share her perspective on the Yazidi genocide perpetrated by ISIS in 2014, and offer insights into the Yazidi people.

Naso came to Winnipeg in 1999 as a refugee and is now the resettlement coordinator for Operation Ezra, a local interfaith initiative to help Yazidi survivors come to safety and settle in Canada.

Naso also contributed to new content on the Yazidi genocide in the Breaking the Silence gallery. She will be joined by Museum curator Jeremy Maron, who will give a brief overview of this new content.
