Schedule:

10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

On December 10, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights opens its doors for free in recognition of International Human Rights Day. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., visitors are invited to explore thousands of powerful human rights stories – stories that illuminate resilience, spark dialogue and inspire each of us to reflect on our own journey.

The afternoon will begin with a citizenship ceremony held in the Museum, where new Canadians will take their oath in a space dedicated to dignity, inclusion and the rights we collectively uphold. Registration starts at 1:30 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at 2 p.m., ending at 3:30 p.m. It’s a moment of welcome that reflects the spirit of the day and the values at the heart of the Museum.

Whether you come to learn, to reflect or to reconnect with the stories that shape our shared human experience, we welcome you to spend this important day with us.
