Family‐friendly performances and extras planned.
Admission is free for kids 12 and under from Tuesday, March 29 to Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For visitors over 12 years old, a ticket to the Museum is required.
Timed ticketing is in place to ensure space and comfort for all visitors throughout the entire Museum.
Discovery Activity for Families booklets, available on Level 1
Before you explore the galleries, ask for our Discovery Activity booklet at the Coat Check on Level 1. This booklet takes you on a journey of discovery and fun as you explore the Museum's galleries!
Enjoy short animated films on Level 7
Check out the family‐friendly films from the National Film Board on Level 7. This collection of short films brings human rights to life through animation. Watch as an oddly shaped domino struggles to belong, a boy can’t get the rest he needs, and a young man goes on a journey of self‐discovery. Let our staff know which film you’d like to see first!
Stop for lunch!
From March 30 to April 2, treat the family to a kid‐friendly lunch at the Macaroni Bar in the Bistro. Or try a tasty crepe; both sweet and savoury options available. Other menu and snack items, including grab’n’go options also available. Bistro hours: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

These Métis siblings share their passion for dancing and add their own special twist to the Red River Jig. You can’t help but join in!.
1:45 p.m. – Don Amero
Don Amero is an engaging storyteller, singer‐songwriter, performer and three‐time Juno Award nominee. Amero, who is of Cree and Métis heritage, has been recognized for his advocacy work within Indigenous communities and beyond, including his participation as a youth mentor for the Winnipeg Jets and True North Youth Foundation’s "Project 11".
2:20 p.m. – Summer Bear Dance Troupe
Summer Bear Dance Troupe performs Indigenous dances such as the Grass Dance, the Traditional, the Fancy Feather and Shawl Dance, the Hoop Dance and the Jingle Dress.

A fun and new kid’s music group fronted by Grammy and Juno Award‐winning singer, songwriter, and ukulele player Jessee Havey of The Duhks.
