Free the Children recently announced that they will be holding another We Day in Winnipeg on October 30th, 2012!
We Day is an initiative by Free the Children which brings students together for one day to hear some inspirational speeches from influential leaders, listen to some of their favorite music and find out how they can make the world a better place.
Last year, Winnipeg hosted its first We Day on November 23, 2011 and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights had the honour of partnering with Free the Children to present it. What an inspiring day! It was amazing to see more than 10,000 young people engaged and willing to do their part for human rights.
We created this video for We Day to get kids thinking about our message. It was great to see it on the scoreboard TV!
We are really looking forward to working with We Day again this year and to inspiring more young people to get involved and take a stand for human rights.
