Join us for a magical night of French‐language performances by headliner Ariane Moffatt, an award‐winning and multitalented artist who has made her mark on the Quebec music scene since the release of her first album in 2002. Moffatt is featured in Beyond the Beat: Music of Resistance and Change for her activism in support of 2SLGBTQI+ rights.
Her solo performance will be preceded by opener Sala, who was named Francophone artist of the year at the Western Canadian Music Awards in 2023.
About Ariane Moffatt
A versatile artist, Moffatt is recognized for her talents as a singer‐songwriter, composer, arranger and co‐producer. Her musical journey began in 2002 with her first album Aquanaute, which earned her three prestigious Félix awards in Quebec, including Pop‐Rock Album of the Year.
In 2005, she released Le cœur dans la tête, which was recognized with two Félix awards, including Female Performer of the Year. Her stage energy was captured in the DVD Ariane Moffatt à la Station C. In 2008, she released Tous les sens, an album acclaimed by critics and crowned with several awards, including four Félix awards and a Juno. Three more albums followed (MA, 22h22 and Petites mains précieuses) between 2012 and 2018.
Moffatt continues to explore new artistic horizons, as evidenced by the release of the cinematic version of her latest album Incarnat and her constant commitment as an artist and teacher. In 2022, she celebrated the 20th anniversary of her first album by inviting young artists to revisit her iconic songs. She is featured in the Beyond the Beat exhibition and is a champion for 2SLGBTQI+ rights.

About Sala
Alternative‐pop artist Sala, also known as Ariane Jean, is a former member of award‐winning vocal groups Chic Gamine and Madrigaïa. She has toured internationally with both groups and shared the stage with acclaimed artists Marc Broussard, JP Hoe, Marie‐Pierre Arthur, Daniel Lavoie and Royal Canoe, among many others. She launched her solo career with the release of her album Sala in October 2020, followed by her second album Surface in April 2023.
Her intimate, sometimes melancholic jazz, ambient and pop‐infused songs take in sensations and moods and translate them into images, layering lush vocals on which her airy soprano can soar. The result is moody, atmospheric music that evokes the introspection of foggy mornings and rainy afternoons.
