Kick off your weekend the “rights” way!
This free Friday night at the Museum is a great chance to get together and explore the exhibits, share a meal and drinks at ERA Bistro, browse through the Boutique, and enjoy some music. (Bistro reservations are highly recommended.)

Join us for an advance celebration of International Women’s Day, featuring five performances from the Cabaret of Monologues by Winnipeg’s Sarasvàti Productions at 6:30 p.m., under the theme “Changes.”
Performances range from a Deaf mime piece about being bold and beautiful as a Deaf woman, to comedic storytelling about being a female “oversharer,” to a spoken word performance about an Indigenous woman’s resilience in the face of trauma and adversity.
The monologues will be followed by a live musical performance from Winnipeg folk duo Leaf Rapids (Keri and Devin Latimer), whose album “Citizen Alien” has been nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Album of the Year.
Drinks (cash bar) and snacks will be served in Bonnie & John Buhler Hall. Explore the Museum’s incredible architecture and exhibits at your leisure, ascending on illuminated alabaster ramps.
