Come celebrate the holiday season at the Museum! Join in our activities for all ages and explore the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in playful and fun ways.

Free with admission. Free for youth 12 and under.

Activities are offered daily from December 26, 2018 to January 5, 2019 and all are free with admission.

I Stand Up for Human Rights: Images+Words

Participate in this engaging activity matching dozens of photos with the 30 articles contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Explore what the Declaration means to you. Match a photo to a right and then post online if you like!

Human Rights Heroes: Self‐Portraits

Create a collage with your own photo. Add qualities that make up a human rights defender: wings to fly, powerful legs to run, big eyes to see injustice. Also add kindness, empathy and understanding. Take your self‐portrait home and show it off.

When: Monday to Friday – December 26, 2018 to January 4, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Where: Stuart Clark Garden of Contemplation on Level 3

Animated National Film Board Films: Ready, Set, Action!

Discover children’s rights in inspiring stories. Share your thoughts with friends and family. Then, see what they think and imagine what you might do to defend these rights. Children’s rights are human rights!

When: Daily – December 26, 2018 to January 5, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Inspiring Change gallery on Level 7

Youth 12 and under receive free admission from December 22, 2018 to January 5.
